Responding to the leak, which suggests that the character nationality volition exist dependant on which superpower players choose to fight for, Henderson shot information technology down immediately. He went on to add together:
"You're a group of individuals from fallen nations - Yous're complimentary to fight to fight for which ever side y'all want. Then in theory a Japanese soldier could fight for both the United states of america and Russian federation."
When asked if his tweet almost choosing sides was in reference to the solo entrada, Henderson said, "I've not heard at that place's a campaign. What I originally heard on it was actually the plot," adding "Yep - You option whichever side you lot want. The plot is that both USA and Russia will hire anyone who is willing to fight for them - As long as they take the skills to do then."
Henderson touched on the group which players are a part of in a blog post last calendar month that revealed the title of the game, as well every bit the near-future setting. The campaign is described as "revolutionary" compared to by entries in the series.
"The campaign will focus on you lot and your specialist unit, where you'll be able to chose which superpower you fight for... there isn't necessarily 'Axis and Allies' as yous will exist able to chose your own path.
"Both the United states of america and Russian federation, who are the games just standing superpowers, volition offer to 'recruit' your specialist team and their skills throughout the campaign, which will be a valuable asset to both sides. It would also announced like this year's campaign is a co-op experience. "
Nosotros've yet to run into the reveal trailer drib, although Henderson has apparently seen it (or at least segments of information technology) and shared sketches of some of the frames. Only this week, he intimated that the trailer is "probably a week or 2 away" and that we "should get teasers" in the run upwards to information technology, so stay frosty.
Of class, none of this is confirmed — as Henderson himself highlights. The nuggets he'southward sharing are based on what he's heard and then far, and may not exist 100% authentic, so accept it with a pinch of common salt.
